The NYT oped "The Heartbeat of Racism is Denial" is on point and makes clear that has been true in this country well before Trump arrived. It's time for it to end. So in a weird way I'm glad he said it - as hurtful as I know it was for so many to hear. Hopefully, there is no way to sweep it under the rug and ignore it.
